I forgot to mention earlier –

“Iron Chef – Showdown in Las Vegas” – starring WILLIAM SHATNER as the Chairman.

I…cannot…wait.

Darren speaks cryptically. I wonder if he’s gotten into the moonshine again.

Ok, I’m back. I have to admit to being very very bad about not posting this week, but a lot has been going on.

I started my new job. As I’ve said before, the Giant Corporate Overlord let be go a while back. Last week, I started my new job (well, temp job) at ETS in Princeton. While I admit that I’m really not sure what I’m supposed to be doing yet, I seem to be enjoying myself.

I’ve been in Newark with Darren working the Rutgers graduations there. I have to say, I never realized just how much more boring a graduation can be when you have no personal stake in it. They just seemed to go on forever! But with the exception of having to wake up at 5am, it was definately a fun couple of days.

I guess that’s the update. I’ll be back to my regular posting habits once I finally have a chance to settle into my schedule at work…

The next time I complain about Americans taking TV too seriously, someone please remind me of this…

FYI: In America, ‘Loft Story’ is known as ‘Big Brother’.

Ok, so I know I’ve been bad – I haven’t really posted much this week. But I haven’t spent as much time in front of the computer over the last few days as I normally would – I’ve been enjoying my week away from the workforce. I’m sure I’ll have more to point out and laugh at as this week gets going.

This one seemed oddly appropriate, especially considering the proponderance of people willing to share their dreams on the internet…

…and this one just made me laugh. From the 29 April issue of The Onion:

So, as many of you know, I was “released” by the Giant Corporate Overlord this week. I was sort of angry for a while, then depressed, then angry again, then a little hungry, then sleepy. But I’ve come to realize that maybe this is just life’s way of giving me a little (or, in my case, a swift) kick in the hinder and telling me that it’s time to get back to doing what I love doing, what I miss doing, the only thing that’s made me truly happy for as long as I remember. So it’s time to get the old resume together and start mailing.

In the meantime, if anyone knows of any good (paying) jobs, feel free to send some tips my way… =)

I have a practical question regarding last night’s finale of “Survivor: The Australian Outback”: If the chopper carrying the final vote was being flown in live, at 6:45PM Pacific Time, how could it have been dark out already???

Why does Apple want my money so badly? First there was this…

Maybe I should just send a blank check to Steve Jobs & put myself out of my misery.
