Pretty much everyone who reads this blog knows about my obsession with The Blues Brothers. Well, one of the most infamous scenes involves a high speed chase scene through a shopping mall. Being bored at work today, I ran a Google search, and found out this interesting bit of info about the mall used in the film, courtesy of DeadMalls.com.
The thing that I find really facinating is that the mall had just closed at the time “The Blues Brothers” was shot, and the mall had been completely redressed for the movie. And the mall, or rather the shell of the mall, is still standing to this day, more than 20 years later, abandoned.
