Hi there. It’s about one week since my last post, and a little over one week since the horrific attacks on the US. I’ve spent the better part of the last few days trying to get my life back to some kind of “normal” state. But every time I pick up a newspaper, or turn on the television, or read any (ANY) site on the web, I’m reminded of how helpless, outraged, angry and saddened we’ve all been over the last week. Maybe everyone is right – maybe there isn’t a “normal” any more. Or maybe, as George Carlin might say, maybe it’s simply “normal minus WTC”. I dunno.
I read a piece over at TVBarn.com saying that ABC News has banned further airings of the video showing the planes hitting the WTC. I happen to agree with this decision. The issue can be broached at this point without forcing those grieving to relive the event over and over again.
Unless something major breaks, this will be my last post about the tragedy for a while. (Also, you’ll be spared any additional entries starting with “XXX morning in America”.)
