New Jersey Online: Q104.3
Anyone who knows where I live (Twin Rivers) knows that you can’t get recent radio reception here for love nor money. Believe it or not, this is the only way that I can pull in Q104 at home (even though I can get it perfectly in the car).

BlogVoices will live!

And now, another in our continuing series, “Living in The Future”:
BBC News | UK | The pager rings off
“The pager is set to join the eight-track stereo and Betamax video in the bin of obsolete gadgetry.”

Variety.com: Wolf Pounds Peacock for Axing “Law” Seg
Translated from VarietySpeak, “Law & Order” producer Dick Wolf is furious with NBC because they have removed Wednesday’s episode from the library of episodes to be rerun.

Anyone who has ever watched “L&O” knows that their storylines are generally ripped right from the papers – and this particular episode touched on the horriffic Puerto Rican Day wilding attacks. Apparently this episode hit too close to home.

“In a statement, NBC apologized for ‘offending members of the Latino community.'”

[RANT] I like to think I’m a pretty tolerant guy, and I try to respect all cultures and their beliefs…but maybe the Latino community should be offended by the actions of their own people, and not by a television show. Dick Wolf was just turning the mirror to them, and they didn’t like what they saw. That’s no reason for censorship. [/RANT]

Variety.com: ‘AKIRA’ Revs for US
I’m not sure if I have anything to add to this. Although it is pretty cool that it’s getting a theatrical release.

The Onion | Infographic: Clinton’s Last Acts

Yahoo News: AMC Entertainment to Shut Up to 548 Screens
I wonder if this means we’re heading into a new era for movie palaces? Either way, it looks like the days of the big-box multiplex are numbered, if both AMC and Loews/Cineplex are in trouble. And you know what? I’m not so sure that’s such a bad thing.

BBC News | ENTERTAINMENT | Titanic cut clampdown in Kabul
Oh, for the love of…

There’s hope on the BlogVoices front – a “friendly face” has stepped up and offered to host the service. So those Talk links may be returning sooner than expected…

BBC News | UK | Essex girl hopes to break legs record
I guess the British press are between government scandals at the moment, if this story made the BBC’s main page.
To be fair, though…she has got some long legs…take a look…
