Yoni Cordon, 19, of Philadelphia, an employee of the Kargher Corp. in Hatfield Township, apparently tumbled from a platform into the 7-foot-deep vat, which is used for mixing and melting chocolate.

Maybe he should have yelled “fire”. Because clearly, no one came to save him when he yelled “CHOCOLATE!!!”.

…moving out of my parents house. (Sorry, Billy. Couldn’t resist appropriating the lyric.)

This was the thing I didn’t want to post about earlier in the week – mainly because I didn’t want to jinx it. So, after all is said and done, it looks like Spike, Denise (who doesn’t get a link because she hasn’t blogged in almost two months), Ward (who doesn’t have a blog…yet) and myself will be sharing a lovely apartment over at Avalon Run in about a week’s time. Now there’s just the little matter of setting up all the utilities, packing, doing the change of address thing, moving, unpacking, and buying lots of lovely expensive things for the apartment. (Well, maybe not *that* expensive. Except maybe for this.)

It’s going to be interesting.

Sorry I haven’t posted much (at all) this week – it has been a busy and eventful week, and hopefully I should have some news soon. For now, though, just pretend I’m not here and look at Jennifer Garner some more.

Need another reason to see “Daredevil” next spring?

73460 on Timed Mode. I really should get out more.

*dance of joy*
I’ve been saying it to everyone who didn’t like series 6 of “Buffy” – “TRUST JOSS”.

Today’s link to Eh… brings you The Saga of Princeton Rep.
Rated PG-13 for major annoyance, irresponsible business practices, and one instance of “go screw themselves”.
No one will be admitted during the “woofer sequence”.

(There’s no real accompanying story for this title – it’s just stuck in my head from watching “1776” on Wednesday. Also, it WAS hot as hell on Thursday…)

Sorry it’s been so long since my last post, but I’ve been trying for a generally computer-free weekend. But, with the spectre of work tomorrow lingering over my head, I thought I’d pop on and share some
photos from the festivities at Darren’s place on Thursday. The BBQ was a lot of fun (putting aside the blistering heat), and it was great to see some faces I hadn’t seen in a really long time. Also, as Darren pointed out earlier, we FINALLY got to see “Men in Black II” on Thursday night. And yes, there was a kick-ass “Two Towers” trailer. And I’ll be damned if that trailer didn’t almost make me want to see the film. Afterward, there was much blowing up of the zombies, much eating of the Trzesinski Treats, and much kicking of my ass in Halo deathmatch mode. (I really need to work on that last bit.)

The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing – Friday was a lazy evening back at Casa de Sussman, enjoying some leftovers and the (suddenly) lovely weather; Saturday and Today were spent being generally lazy around the house, taking care of laundry and other around-the-house stuff. Happy birthday, America.

So, my master plan to see Men in Black II fell through for tonight. No problem, I figured – I’d refresh myself by watching the original on the (recently purchased) Deluxe Edition DVD. I picked it up about a month ago, but this was the first chance I had to watch it. So, I pop disc 1 (the disc containing the movie) into my DVD player, and…nothing. It refuses to believe there’s a disc in there. So I take the disc out and try it in my PS2. Nothing. So I try it again in my DVD player. This time, it manages to see that there’s a DVD inserted in the drive, but refuses to play it. What’s more, it starts flashing a code at me, and will not eject the disc. After powering down my DVD player the “hard way”, I managed to get the disc out. Aside from a smudge or two, I couldn’t see anything on the disc…so I thought I’d try it in my computer. My computer wanted to format it as a CD-RW. So that was a no go. I’ll be bringing that back to Best Buy tomorrow for an exchange, hoping they’re not going to give me too much crap about my 35-day old receipt. In the end, I watched “1776” a few hours earlier than scheduled.

And, on the upside, I’m gonna get liquored up tomorrow. That always makes everything better.

Well, probably not. But some of the paint has chipped off directly under the mouse button – probably from wear. It’s not a HUGE deal – I was able to get a kit that will repair the paint job as good as new (presuming I don’t screw it up, which I probably will). It’s just annoying.
