AD Accused Of Giving Student ‘Violent Wedgies’ Suspended

Quinn, a Leonia resident who has held the athletic director’s post since 1989, was accused of using his office to spank a 17-year-old male student and having the student spank him with various objects. He also is accused of fondling the student’s genitals and buttocks, and giving the student “violent wedgies” that caused bruising.

Can someone – anyone – explain to me how this kind of thing keeps happening? Especially in these “everyone watches everyone else” times?

The Syracuse Orangemen have done it! 2003 NCAA Champions!!!

*dances jig*

I was actually toying with changing the background color of the blog to orange last night, after my Syracuse Orangemen defeated someone’s Texas Longhorns. I’m not normally the biggest sports fan, but when it comes to my Orangemen, I am an unconditional fan. So I couldn’t be more thrilled to see SU put down yet ANOTHER #1 seed.

Now it’s on to the championship game vs. Kansas on Monday night. The game is being played in the SuperDome in New Orleans, the very same place SU lost to Indiana in the 1987 final.

We’re coming back for those last four seconds. And we’re gonna take it out of Kansas’ ass. Let’s Go Orange!

Well, no doubt by now you’ve noticed that things are not as they once were here at the ol’ blogstead. Bry has been helping me to move Random Thoughts off of Blogger (which I’ve discovered I don’t like as much as I used to, what with the instability and the hacking and all) and over to Movable Type, which I love as long as I don’t have to set it up myself. (Thanks again Bry!) Things are still kinda rough – there’s some sawdust on the proverbial floor, if you will – and he and I are still working to get things to my liking. But once we’re done…oh, who am I kidding, we won’t ever be done.

The sidebar will fill out with other links and the other standard features of my site as time progresses. The one thing that’s gone for good are the old DotComments posts. Unless I get REALLY bored and decide to cut and paste everything in, I don’t see how those will be back. Which is a shame, ’cause there were some doozies. But in the meantime, welcome to Random Thoughts v.2. (beta)

Anyway, I have work in the morning (boo!), but I’m getting overtime for it (yay!), so I suppose I should probably get some sleep. Speaking of “change”, don’t forget to set your clocks, watches, cell phones, VCRs, etc. ahead one hour tonight!

(Oh – one more thing – depending on how busy I am at work tomorrow, and how I’m feeling about it at the point I try to write it, you may get a re-view of “Phone Booth” at some point.)

My Syracuse Orangemen have advanced to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, their opponent on Sunday is the #1 seed in the Eastern bracket, the Oklahoma Sooners. But I’m cautiously optimistic.

Thanks to Spike, comments are back on, and my Blogger template is acting less wonky.

Comments do not appear to be working. I haven’t a clue why, although soon it won’t matter.

I’m working on something for this space. Which is the main reason why I haven’t posted a whole heck of a lot lately. It’s not going to be a huge change, visually, but it’s more a functionality/peace of mind thing.

Of course, I’m been working so much of late, I have been trying not to spend so much time in front of the computer at home. Hopefully inside of a couple of weeks, that should change, and I’ll be back to my normal routine of posting random crap in this space.

Meanwhile, go check out re-view. I’ll be back with you shortly.

Oh, and GO ORANGEMEN.
