new computer yesterday, and since I had many errands to run, I left it until today to set up. After problems with my old CD-RW (which caused me to burn 5 coasters taking about 40 minutes each), I foolishly attempted to set up the AirPort network for my Powerbook.

Now, switching data from one computer to another is something I’ve done more than a few times. At about midnight, I got fed up, disconnected the base station and restored the ethernet connection to my old computer.

With any luck, I’ll have time to call Apple after work tomorrow (but before my Post-Mortem meeting in Brooklyn tomorrow night) and find out how the hell I screwed this “simple” procedure up.
